In fact, the impact crusher is a kind of ultra-fine crushing equipment. It mainly uses a rotating body that rotates at a high speed around a horizontal axis or a vertical axis. It exerts a fierce impact on the feedstock and causes it to collide with the fixed body or particles. The crushed particles are widely used in industrial comminution of chemical industry, building materials, mining, pesticides, foods, pharmaceuticals, and non-metals. However, due to wear of the equipment during operation, it is not suitable for smashing materials with high hardness.

 

From the different rotary bodies used, the impact mill can be divided into impact hammer mills, impact plate mills, and pin-type mills; if the number of rows of hammers can be divided into single row and double row And multiple rows; but if the layout of the rotor can be divided into vertical and horizontal two.

 

As far as the vertical impact crusher is concerned, its rotor drive shaft is vertically arranged, and the rotor circulates around the vertical shaft to smash the material at a high speed. Most of the pulverizers of this type have built-in grading wheels. At the time of crushing, the material is forcibly fed into the crushing chamber by the screw feeder and is subjected to impact shearing and crushing between the high speed rotor and the stator with toothed bushing.

 

Then, guided by the air flow, guided by the guide ring into the central classification zone, the fine powder is discharged from the center pipe as a finished product with the air flow through the classification turbine, and is collected by the dust collecting device; the coarse powder falls back to the rotor crush zone under the action of gravity. The inside was crushed again. The average fineness of the product is in the range of 10 to 1 000 μm, and the particle size distribution of the crushed product is narrow, and the particles are nearly spherical.

 

If it is a horizontal impact crusher, it is just the opposite. The rotor shaft is placed horizontally, and the rotor rotates around the horizontal axis to achieve material crushing. The material is given to the first crushing chamber in a quantitative and continuous manner by a hopper and a feeder, and is pulverized into a powder having a size of several hundreds of micrometers under the action of the impact crushing of the rotor.

 

At the same time, the fan sucks air from the feed end, and the air in the pulverization chamber of the impact pulverizer rotates in the direction of the fan, and the pulverized material in the first pulverization chamber is input into the second crushing chamber. In the first crushing chamber, the rotor is inclined toward the discharge end so that it promotes the flow of air; however, the rotor in the second crushing chamber is not inclined, so it hinders or retards the flow of air. Due to this structure, the air flow is repeatedly circulated in the crushing chamber, which prolongs the residence time of the material in the crushing chamber, so that the material is subjected to multiple impacts or impacts
