What are the cleaning methods of plough mixer?

Feb 26, 2025

1. Daily cleaning
Shutdown cleaning: After each mixing operation, the power should be turned off first. After the mixer stops running completely, open the discharge port and drain the remaining materials. For materials adhering to the discharge port, use a shovel or scraper to gently scrape them off, and be careful not to damage the sealing surface of the discharge port.

Internal cleaning: Open the inspection door of the mixer, and use a broom or vacuum cleaner to clean the inside of the cylinder, focusing on cleaning the plow blade, stirring shaft, and materials adhering to the inner wall of the cylinder. For some corners and gaps that are difficult to clean, you can use small cleaning tools such as brushes or bamboo sticks to clean them.

2. Regular deep cleaning
Disassembled parts cleaning: The mixer needs to be cleaned more thoroughly every certain production cycle. Remove the detachable parts such as the plow blade and stirring shaft, and soak and rinse them with clean water or a special cleaning agent. For stubborn stains adhering to the parts, you can use a wire brush or sandpaper to gently polish them, but be careful not to damage the surface of the parts. After cleaning, air dry the parts or wipe them with a clean cloth before reinstalling them on the mixer.

Internal cleaning of the cylinder: While removing the parts, thoroughly clean the inside of the cylinder. You can use a high-pressure water gun or spray device to evenly spray clean water or cleaning agent on the inner wall of the cylinder, and then use a brush or scraper to scrub it to ensure that there is no material residue and dirt on the inner wall of the cylinder. After cleaning, drain the sewage and wipe the inside of the cylinder with a clean cloth.

Electrical system cleaning: Use dry compressed air or a hair dryer to clean the electrical control cabinet, motor, and other electrical components of the mixer to remove dust and debris. Be careful not to let water or cleaning agents enter the interior of the electrical components to avoid short circuits or other faults.

3. Cleaning in special situations
Material bonding treatment: If the material is bonded or solidified in the mixer, it can be treated by heating or chemical dissolution.
Disinfection treatment: For some production occasions that require strict hygiene requirements, such as the food and pharmaceutical industries, the mixer needs to be disinfected after cleaning. You can use ultraviolet light irradiation, hydrogen peroxide solution spray, and other methods to disinfect, ensuring that the inside of the mixer meets the hygiene standards.
