Ribbon Mixer Working Principle

 

Double spiral blades are arranged on the drive shaft of the horizontal ribbon mixer. The internal spiral conveys the material to the outside and the external spiral collects the material to the inside. Under the convection motion of the double helix belt, the material forms a low-dynamic and efficient mixed environment. The inner and outer diameter spirals installed on the agitator shaft drive the material inside the barrel so that the agitator can turn animal materials in the maximum range of the barrel. When the stirring device is working, the inner spiral rotates the material near the axis to do axis rotation, and the axial direction is pushed from inside to the inside. The outer spiral drives the material near the barrel wall to make the axis rotation, and the axial direction is pushed from both sides to the inside. Can mix evenly in a short period.

U-shaped Vessel: The U-shaped vessel is usually made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials to ensure durability and prevent contamination of the materials being mixed. It has a certain length and diameter, and the size varies according to different production requirements.

 

Ribbon Agitator: Inside the U-shaped vessel, there is a ribbon-shaped agitator. The ribbon agitator is composed of a central shaft and helical ribbon blades. The ribbon blades are usually made of metal and are welded or fixed on the central shaft. There are often two types of ribbons, an inner ribbon and an outer ribbon. The helical directions of the two ribbons are usually opposite.

 

Drive System: The drive system is usually located at one end of the mixer and consists of a motor, a reducer, and a coupling. The motor provides the power source, and the reducer reduces the speed of the motor to the appropriate rotational speed required for the agitator. The coupling connects the output shaft of the reducer to the central shaft of the ribbon agitator to transmit power.

 

Discharge Port: Located at the bottom or side of the mixing tank, the discharge port is used to discharge the mixed materials. It is usually equipped with a discharge valve to control the opening and closing of the discharge port and the discharge speed of the materials.
