What are the structural features of ribbon mixer?

1. Unique stirring components
The core component of the ribbon mixer is the ribbon agitator, which is usually composed of two layers of inner and outer ribbons. The ribbon generally adopts a ribbon structure and is connected to the central axis by welding or bolts. The outer layer of the ribbon has a larger diameter and a smaller distance from the inner wall of the mixing tank. Its main function is to promote a large amount of material to flow axially to achieve overall material transportation and preliminary mixing. The inner layer of the ribbon has a smaller diameter and is close to the central axis. Its function is to make the material flow radially, push the material in the central area to the surrounding area, strengthen the local mixing effect, and make the material mixing more uniform. This combination design of inner and outer layers of ribbons can form a complex material flow pattern during the mixing process and effectively improve the mixing efficiency.

2. U-shaped or cylindrical mixing tank
The mixing tank is a component that holds materials, and the common shape is U-shaped or cylindrical. The U-shaped mixing tank has a larger opening, which is convenient for loading and unloading materials, and the bottom is arc-shaped, which can avoid material accumulation and is conducive to the full mixing of materials by the ribbon agitator. The cylindrical mixing tank has better sealing performance and is suitable for handling some materials that require a sealing operation, such as volatile, flammable, and explosive materials. The mixing tank is usually made of stainless steel or other corrosion-resistant materials to ensure the service life of the equipment and the purity of the material.

3. Drive device
The drive device generally includes components such as a motor, reducer, and coupling. The motor provides power, and the reducer reduces the high-speed rotation of the motor to a speed suitable for the ribbon agitator to meet the needs of mixing different materials. The coupling is used to connect the reducer and the central axis of the ribbon agitator to ensure stable power transmission. The drive device is usually installed at one end of the mixing tank. Through reasonable layout and installation, the stability and reliability of the equipment operation can be guaranteed.

4. Discharge port
The discharge port is located at the bottom or side of the mixing tank and is used to discharge the mixed material. The design of the discharge port usually takes into account the fluidity of the material and the convenience of discharging. Some discharge ports are equipped with valves or discharge devices to control the discharge speed and flow of the material. In addition, the position and size of the discharge port will also be optimized according to different production processes and material characteristics to ensure that the material can be discharged smoothly without affecting production efficiency.
