What is the working process of the powder conveyor?

1. Screw conveyor:
Feeding: The powder material enters the conveying trough of the screw conveyor from the feed port. Usually the feed port is connected to the equipment or silo of the previous link to ensure the continuous supply of materials.
Conveying: The motor drives the screw shaft to rotate, and the spiral blades on the screw shaft rotate accordingly. The spiral blades continuously push the powder material during the rotation process, so that the material moves forward along the conveying trough. Due to the friction between the spiral blades and the material, as well as the gravity of the material itself and the friction resistance of the screw conveyor casing to the material, the material will not rotate with the spiral blades, but move linearly under the push of the spiral blades.
Discharging: The material is transported to the discharge port of the screw conveyor under the push of the spiral blades, and then discharged from the discharge port and enters the equipment or storage device of the next link.

2. Pneumatic conveyor:
Negative pressure pneumatic conveying (suction type):
Suction: The vacuum pump or other suction device works to form a negative pressure in the conveying pipeline. Under the action of atmospheric pressure, the powder material is sucked into the conveying pipeline from the feed port through the suction hose.
Transport: The inhaled material mixes with the air to form a gas-solid two-phase flow. Under the action of negative pressure, the gas-solid two-phase flow moves along the conveying pipeline to the destination. During the conveying process, the suspension speed and airflow speed of the material need to be kept within a certain range to ensure that the material can be transported stably.
Separation: After the gas-solid two-phase flow reaches the destination, it enters the separator. In the separator, the material is separated from the air, and the material falls due to gravity and falls into the collection device or storage bin, while the air passes through the filter and other purification devices and then is discharged from the system, or part of the air may be recycled.
Positive pressure pneumatic conveying (pressure delivery):
Air supply: The air source equipment (such as an air compressor) generates high-pressure gas and delivers the high-pressure gas to the transmitter.
Feeding: The powder material enters the transmitter, and under the push of the high-pressure gas, the material is accelerated and transported to the conveying pipeline. Under the action of the high-pressure gas, the material flows at high speed along the conveying pipeline.
Unloading: After the material arrives at the designated location, the material is discharged from the conveying pipeline through the unloading device. There are many forms of unloading devices, such as rotary valves, unloaders, etc., which can be selected according to actual needs.

3. Pipe chain conveyor:
Feeding: The material enters the closed pipe of the pipe chain conveyor from the feed port. The feed port is usually set at the starting end of the conveyor and connected to the equipment or silo of the previous link to ensure that the material can enter the conveying pipeline smoothly.
Conveying: Under the action of the driving device, the chain circulates in the pipeline, and the chain pieces on the chain push the material to move along the pipeline. When conveying horizontally, the material particles are pushed by the chain pieces in the direction of movement. When the internal friction between the material layers is greater than the external friction between the material and the pipe wall, the material moves forward with the chain pieces to form a stable material flow; when conveying vertically, the material particles in the pipe are pushed upward by the chain pieces. Since the lower feeding prevents the upper material from sliding down, lateral side pressure is generated, which enhances the internal friction of the material. When the internal friction between the materials is greater than the external friction between the material and the inner wall of the pipe and the weight of the material, the material is conveyed upward with the chain pieces to form a continuous material flow.
Discharging: The material is conveyed to the discharge port with the movement of the chain, and then discharged from the discharge port to complete the entire conveying process. The position of the discharge port can be set according to actual needs. It can be the end of the conveyor, or multiple discharge ports can be set in the middle of the pipeline to achieve multi-point unloading.

There are various types of powder conveyors, and the working processes of different types of powder conveyors will be somewhat different.
